The length of time it takes to extract a tooth is determined by the ease of the tooth extraction. Extraction of front and loose teeth is relatively easy and can be done in less than 0.5 hours. The extraction is also less traumatic and painful, and the extraction wounds heal easily. However, the extraction of wisdom teeth and molar teeth is relatively difficult and takes between 0.5 and 2 hours. In particular, only part of the crown of the blocked wisdom tooth can erupt in the mouth, while the rest of the crown is blocked by the front molar and the bone of the ascending mandible. For teeth with root canal treatment and teeth with chronic inflammation at the root tip, it takes longer to extract these two types of teeth because they are more brittle and have adhesions between the root and the alveolar bone due to inflammation.
