What to do if you were born with Hepatitis B

Newborns born with hepatitis B should be immediately vaccinated with anti-hepatitis B virus immune globulin to neutralize the hepatitis B virus under the supervision of a doctor, and also vaccinated with hepatitis B vaccine. Hepatitis B is caused by infection of the body with the hepatitis B virus. Newborns are usually infected with the hepatitis B virus due to exposure to maternal blood and body fluids during labor and delivery, and the mother also has hepatitis B, which is passed to the newborn through the vertical transmission route. Hepatitis B virus infection in newborns should be blocked immediately, which can be achieved by immunization with anti-hepatitis B virus immunoglobulin. Timely vaccination with anti-hepatitis B virus immunoglobulin should be followed by a full course of hepatitis B vaccination, which will help to stimulate the body to produce a sufficient amount of hepatitis B antibodies to fight against the occurrence of hepatitis B infection.
