A case of laparoscopic cholecystectomy

The patient suffered from recurrent cholecystitis and was admitted to the hospital on Monday. Due to the schedule, I waited 5 days for the operation, but of course, it was worth the wait because I could be free from the pain of the disease after the operation. Moreover, from the postoperative dissected gallbladder specimen, there was already significant inflammation and tissue hyperplasia in the body of the gallbladder (I suspect atypical hyperplasia because this part of the gallbladder wall was contracted and had a significantly different color and texture), and this hyperplasia was potentially malignant. This area was specifically marked postoperatively with sutures and pathology will carefully examine this part of the gallbladder wall.
