Retinal detachment mostly occurs in patients with retinal degeneration, vitreous degeneration, high myopia, ocular trauma, advanced diabetes mellitus, macular or other fundus diseases. In addition to active treatment of retinal detachment, treatment for the primary disease is also required. Retinal detachment is mainly divided into three categories: foramen ovale, traction, and exudation, with different treatment methods for different classifications. 1.Posterior vitreous detachment without fissure: For patients with posterior vitreous detachment without forming retinal fissure, although some patients complain of heavy symptoms (mainly flying mosquito phenomenon, blurred vision, etc.), no treatment is needed, only close observation is required. The process of posterior vitreous detachment causes retinal edema or small flaky hemorrhage in the posterior pole, which can generally recover on its own within 2 weeks. 2.Pore-derived retinal detachment: It refers to the presence of a fissure in the retina, mostly using surgery to close the fissure, including laser photocoagulation, electrocoagulation, condensation around the fissure, vitreous cavity gas injection, and in severe cases, extra-scleral compression or vitrectomy combined with gas or silicone oil injection needs to be chosen. 3, pulling retinal detachment: mostly due to fiber proliferation at the interface between vitreous and retina, pulling the retina causing detachment, treatment is mainly vitreous surgery to release the pulling, serious cases need to remove the vitreous and inject long-lasting gas or silicone oil and other vitreous substitutes. 4, exudative retinal detachment: mostly caused by uveitis, posterior sclerositis, malignant hypertension, gestational hypertension syndrome, choroidal tumor and other eye diseases, treatment focuses on etiological treatment, for patients with inflammatory exudation can apply systemic hormone therapy; for infectious patients apply sensitive drugs; for diabetic patients, control blood sugar, blood pressure and lipids; for intraocular tumors need to actively treat the tumor. In summary, the treatment of retinal detachment is to reset the detached retina, and the treatment mainly takes the form of surgery, and patients with primary diseases also need to actively treat the primary disease.
