What are the effects of orthodontic correction

Orthodontics has four major effects. First, orthodontics can play a role in dental preservation. Regularly aligned teeth have a self-cleaning effect, but irregularly aligned teeth can make brushing and cleaning difficult, and orthodontics can facilitate cleaning after teeth are aligned. Second, orthodontics can remove bite trauma. Unbalanced bite force will lead to damage to teeth, making it easier for teeth to loosen and fall off prematurely, while orthodontics can make teeth alignment and bite relationship reach normal, which can play a good protection for teeth. Again, orthodontics can release the bite interference. Certain misaligned bite relationship can lead to damage to the temporomandibular joint, and orthodontics makes the bite relationship normal, avoiding damage to the temporomandibular joint. Finally, orthodontics also prepares the teeth for prosthetic restoration. People who have missing teeth but do not want to have them or are not suitable for them can also close the gaps in their missing teeth through orthodontics to achieve an aesthetic effect. People who have too loose teeth and gaps can also achieve aesthetic results by concentrating the gaps through orthodontics and placing teeth in the areas where the gaps are formed.
