What’s wrong with babies with their heads tilted back?

Normal physiological phenomenon, intracranial infection, brain dysplasia and other pathological conditions are the main considerations for babies with head tilting backward.
1. Normal physiological phenomenon: infants are too small and their necks are not strong enough, so when the baby is held in a vertical position, it is easy to tilt the head back because the neck is not well supported, which is a normal physiological phenomenon.
2. Intracranial infections: when infants have viral encephalitis, epidemic encephalitis and other intracranial infections, intracranial hypertension and hypertonia will occur, and head tilting will also occur.
3. Brain dysplasia: When babies are born with hypoxia, hypoglycemia, or premature babies, they are prone to brain dysplasia, and may tilt their heads back.
There may be other reasons for babies to tilt their heads back, such as epilepsy, hydrocephalus, etc. It is recommended to go to the hospital in time, complete the examination to clarify the cause of the disease, and then give targeted treatment or therapy under the guidance of the doctor.
