Bowel rupture is usually caused by external pressure, abdominal surgery, colonoscopy, poor dietary habits and malignant tumors of the colon.
1. External pressure: When a patient is struck by a blunt object, such as a car accident, fall from height, or boxing injury, they are struck in the abdomen with a heavy object, which can cause the colon to rupture.
2. Abdominal surgery: Patients may also have extensive abdominal adhesions caused by various abdominal surgeries, which can easily lead to colon injury and rupture.
3. Colonoscopy: Some patients undergo irregular operations during colonoscopy or patients still have food left in their intestines. Bowel rupture may occur through the colon wall during the examination.
4. Poor dietary habits: some patients have poor dietary habits or eat sharp foreign objects without paying attention during meals, which may also penetrate the colon wall and lead to intestinal rupture.
5. Malignant tumor of the colon: if the patient suffers from malignant tumor of the colon, with the gradual increase of the tumor, it may lead to intestinal obstruction, resulting in feces cannot be discharged in time, leading to intestinal dilatation, and sometimes leading to rupture of the colon or intestinal perforation.
It is recommended that patients should seek medical attention if they feel obvious symptoms of intestinal discomfort, so as to avoid delaying their condition.
