What should be the normal blood sugar for people over 60 years old?

There is no absolute fixed standard for blood sugar in 60 year olds. People usually think that as age changes, there may be changes in blood sugar. The normal value of blood glucose, fasting blood glucose is basically below 6.1mmol/L, and the normal high line of blood glucose two hours after meal should be 7.8mmol/L. In fact, different people have different diagnostic standards. For older diabetic patients, such as over 80 years old and combined with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, the standard of postprandial blood glucose can generally be relaxed to about 10mmol/L; while fasting blood glucose cannot be controlled too low, especially not below 5mmol/L. The postprandial blood glucose requirement for the elderly over 60 years old is stricter and needs to be controlled at about 8mmol/L.
