How does ovarian cancer grow and metastasize?

The ovaries are part of the female reproductive system. The reproductive system is the group of organs in the body that nurtures the fetus. Two ovaries are located in the pelvic cavity between the hip bones, one on the left side of the uterus and the other on the right side of the uterus. Each ovary is connected to the uterus by a fallopian tube. If a woman does not have at least one ovary and one uterus, she will not have a menstrual cycle and will not be able to get pregnant. So how does ovarian cancer grow and metastasize? 1. Continuous ovulation Continuous ovulation causes continuous damage and repair of the ovarian surface epithelium, which may lead to the development of ovarian cancer. Epidemiological survey found that risk factors of ovarian cancer include unproductive and infertility, while multiple pregnancies and breastfeeding and oral contraceptives have protective effects. The application of ovulation-promoting drugs may increase the risk of ovarian tumors. 2. Environmental and other factors Epidemiological evidence suggests that various physical or chemical products of industry may be associated with the development of ovarian cancer. Whether the development of ovarian cancer is related to dietary habits or ingredients (high cholesterol content) is inconclusive. 3.Genetic factors Epithelial ovarian cancer? The occurrence of epithelial ovarian cancer is closely related to genetic factors. 5%-10% of ovarian epithelial cancers have genetic abnormalities. The occurrence of epithelial ovarian cancer is related to three hereditary cancer syndromes, namely hereditary breast cancer-ovarian cancer syndrome (HBOC), hereditary site-specific ovarian cancer syndrome (HSSOC), and hereditary non-polyposis colorectal cancer syndrome (HNPCC). The incidence of ovarian cancer is significantly higher in those with a family history of ovarian, breast, endometrial, and colorectal cancers. Therefore, in addition to routine medical checkups, people with a family history of these cancers should be more vigilant, closely monitored, and even prevented from having their ovaries removed.
