The treatment of polyps mainly depends on the type and size of the pathology. Adenomatous polyps have a higher chance of becoming cancerous, so endoscopic resection is recommended whenever they are diagnosed. Most of the adenomatous polyps in the fundus of the stomach are not cancerous and can be followed up endoscopically, and if they are really very large, endoscopic treatment can be considered. However, most polyps <0.2cm or less than 0.3cm do not require special treatment, as they do not cause any discomfort and do not lead to cancer. Proliferative polyps depend on the situation, if the individual is relatively small, it may be caused by Helicobacter pylori infection, you can first eradicate Helicobacter pylori and then observe, if it still does not subside, you can consider endoscopic resection; for polyps >0.5cm, you can consider endoscopic treatment. For polyps <0.5cm or less, endoscopic follow-up and monitoring gastroscopy are recommended and no special treatment is needed.
