Routine precautions after tooth extraction

  Bite the gauze roll gently for 40 minutes after tooth extraction and spit it out, the point is not to bite too tightly, tight and genle; if you have experienced more than bleeding or have taken certain medications, you can let the doctor check the situation of stopping the bleeding after spitting out the gauze. Within a day or two, there will be some blood in the mouth, which is normal. Only a big mouthful of blood spitting is necessary for treatment.  Do not brush your teeth or rinse your mouth, do not drink through a straw, do not lick and suck the wound, do not spit and swallow all the saliva for 24 hours after tooth extraction, the purpose of doing so is to protect the blood clot in the extraction socket. This blood clot is essential for wound healing and should not be touched.  There is no need to take medication after a routine tooth extraction. However, if you are afraid of pain, you can take some painkillers like fen-phen or antibiotics if you are weak and swollen after extraction. After the extraction of the lower wisdom tooth, swelling is likely to occur. While taking medicine, cold compresses should be applied within 24 hours to prevent excessive swelling; after 24 hours, hot compresses should be applied to invigorate blood circulation and promote the reduction of swelling.  It is possible to eat on the day of tooth extraction, but warm and cool food, good chew, not too much, chew with the side without tooth extraction, in order to protect the wound.
