Is it normal to have 1 plus sign of occult blood in urine?

Normally, there are no red cells in the urine, the urine routine occult blood items should be negative, the current test result is only +1, or weakly positive situation, can not indicate the existence of lesions, it is recommended 1-2 weeks later to recheck the urine routine, at the same time, it is recommended to do the urinary ultrasound, improve the relevant examination. The occult blood items in the urine routine, suggesting the presence of red blood cells in the urine, are common conditions: urinary stones, acute glomerulonephritis, acute progressive nephritis, chronic nephritis, urological tumors, tuberculosis, pyelonephritis, cystitis, lupus nephritis, purpura nephritis. If inflammation induces bleeding, the patient is mostly accompanied by other symptoms of inflammation, such as fever, urethral pain, and abdominal pain. If it is irritated by urinary stones, the patient’s abdominal pain is mostly more intense and manifests as renal colic. If it is a tumorous lesion, there are likely to be other symptoms induced by local tissue compression. However, because there will be interference in the process of routine urine examination, such as the impact of female menstruation, so the results of a test does not necessarily mean that there is a lesion, it is recommended to review to see, even if it is clear that there is blood in the urine, you need to combine with other related tests, such as urological ultrasound, CT, etc. If necessary, may need to do urography to determine the condition.
