How to Treat Knee Inversion in the Elderly

Elderly people with knee inversion can wear orthopedic insoles, rehabilitation exercises or surgery.
1. Wearing orthopedic insoles. In mild cases, orthopedic insoles can be used to change the line of force of the lower limb and prevent the gradual aggravation of the inversion.
2. Rehabilitation exercises. You can do orthopedic exercises, such as hip bridge training, to increase the strength of the hip muscles. Use the foam shaft to relax the muscles of the outer thigh, so that the muscles on both sides of the knee joint can be balanced.
3. Surgical treatment. If it is caused by meniscus injury, meniscus repair surgery can be performed. If it is caused by osteoarthritis, osteotomy and orthopedic surgery or knee replacement surgery can be performed to normalize the strength of the lower limbs.
Therefore, knee inversion in the elderly needs individualized treatment plan according to the severity of inversion.
