How long does it take to die of terminal lung cancer pain

There is no necessary relationship between how long the pain in advanced lung cancer lasts and passing away. For example, if a patient with advanced lung cancer mainly has bone metastasis, after effective treatment, such as radiotherapy for bone metastasis site and systematic treatment for the whole body, the patient can live for more than one year or even 2-3 years. If the patient has severe compression of the chest airway, he or she may pass away in a few days with chest pain. So the point is not to clarify the temporal relationship between how long the pain lasts and passing away, but to clarify that no matter what stage and degree of advanced lung cancer, the most important thing is to stop the patient’s pain.
