What to do after keratinization for stage 1a squamous lung cancer

Patients with stage 1A squamous lung cancer of keratinized type after surgery usually need regular review to monitor the change of their condition, and generally do not need to do other therapeutic measures such as chemotherapy.

Stage 1A squamous lung cancer keratinized type belongs to early stage lung cancer, and keratinized type belongs to the type with high differentiation of cancer cells and low malignancy, therefore, this kind of patients usually choose radical surgery as the first choice, and the chances of recurrence and metastasis of lung cancer lesions are relatively low, so there is no need for adjuvant chemotherapy or radiotherapy.

However, early squamous lung cancer still has the possibility of recurrence and metastasis, so patients should pay attention to regular follow-up examination after surgery, so that timely treatment can be given when recurrence and metastasis are found.
