Should you have your tonsils removed if they are frequently inflamed?

Frequent inflammation of the tonsils is an indication for tonsillectomy, but the tonsils have an important protective significance for the organism, and the indications and contraindications need to be strictly controlled.
1. Indications for tonsillectomy
(1) repeated acute attacks of chronic tonsillitis or multiple complications of peritonsillar abscess.
(2) Tonsils are too large, affecting breathing, swallowing and vocal function.
(3) Chronic tonsillitis causes lesions in other organs or is associated with lesions in neighboring organs.
(4) Benign tonsil tumors can be removed together with the tonsils, but malignant tumors should be analyzed carefully and comprehensively.
2. Contraindications to tonsillectomy
(1) Acute inflammatory attack.
(2) Hematopoietic system diseases or coagulation disorders such as purpura.
(3) Severe systemic diseases such as congenital heart disease.
(4) Respiratory tract infection or in high season may not be operated.
(5) Before menstruation, during menstruation and during pregnancy.
(6) Relatives with immunodeficiency diseases.
Tonsillectomy is not a question of whether it should or should not be done, it should be done strictly under the guidance of a doctor and comprehensively analyzed if conditions permit.
