The treatment of aortic root I.D. widening is mainly decided according to the degree of widening, mainly focusing on actively controlling the primary disease, and more than 45mm can be treated by surgery.
1. Control of primary disease: widening of the inner diameter of the aortic root may be related to hypertension, which can cause widening of the inner diameter of the aorta, chest pain, headache, dizziness and so on when it is serious. It can be treated by drugs, commonly used antihypertensive drugs include nifedipine tablets, amlodipine tablets, etc., which can improve the widening of aortic root diameter by controlling blood pressure.
2. Surgery: When the inner diameter of the aortic root widens more than 50mm, it may lead to aortic aneurysm, which can be treated by surgery. A common surgical procedure is aortic root replacement, in which an artificial blood vessel is used to replace the aorta to improve the widening of the aortic root.
