In general, peritoneal dialysis is not recommended for people with abdominal peritoneal lesion injury, late pregnancy or huge tumors in the abdominal cavity, intestinal obstruction, abdominal wall hernia and so on.
1. Patients with abdominal peritoneal lesions and injuries: Because the peritoneal structure and abdominal wall structure of patients with abdominal lesions are abnormal, and the function of both of them is also abnormal, resulting in the reduction of peritoneal area and poor flow of peritoneal dialysis fluid, which affects the normal conduct and quality of dialysis, so it is not recommended to carry out peritoneal dialysis for this kind of patients.
2. Patients with late pregnancy or large tumors in the abdominal cavity: large fetus or large tumors in late pregnancy will occupy most of the abdominal space, resulting in a reduction of the peritoneal cavity gap, leading to insufficient peritoneal dialysis fluid intake, which will affect the poor effect of peritoneal dialysis.
3. Patients with intestinal obstruction: if the patient suffers from intestinal obstruction or high intestinal obstruction, it may lead to poor flow of peritoneal dialysis fluid, which will directly affect the quality of peritoneal dialysis.
4. patients with abdominal wall hernia: if the abdominal wall hernia has not been repaired, peritoneal dialysis is easy to cause increased abdominal pressure, which will aggravate the symptoms of abdominal wall hernia, so it is not recommended that patients with abdominal wall hernia undergo peritoneal dialysis.
Note that peritoneal dialysis should go to the regular hospital, under the guidance of the doctor. And respiratory insufficiency should be slow, small amount of instillation of peritoneal dialysis fluid, so as not to cause respiratory distress symptoms.
