Erythromycin is a non-hormonal drug, which is clinically available as an oral tablet or as an ointment preparation for external use. In general, it has a definite therapeutic effect on infectious skin diseases, such as the appearance of boils or the appearance of folliculitis, which can be treated with erythromycin, either orally or with topical erythromycin ointment. Both this ointment and the oral medication belong to the antibiotic class, clinically classified as macrolide antibiotics, the use of these antibiotics has a clear anti-inflammatory and control of redness and swelling. However, antibiotics should not be used for a long period of time, otherwise a secondary infection may be formed.
