Elevated alglucosidase is a condition that first depends on whether the patient is male or female. If the patient is a female, she will have an elevation of alglucosidase during pregnancy. Alglucosidase is generally abbreviated as AFU, and if the patient gives birth, the AFU will decrease significantly. In addition, for some patients with hepatitis disease, some patients may also have elevated AFU. For general patients with high AFU, it is important to suspect the possibility of primary liver tumors because primary tumors of the liver will show elevated AFU in the early stages, and elevated AFU is earlier than elevated AFP, so it can be used as a screening indicator for early liver tumors. In case of elevated AFU, the patient should further investigate MRI or PET-CT of the upper abdomen to further determine whether the patient has the possibility of primary tumors of the liver.
