Results: 38,200 cases with significant effect, 36,438 cases with effective effect, 20 cases with poor effect, 15 cases with invalid effect, total effective rate of 95.3%, cure rate of 80.3%. IV. Specialized prescriptions for specific diseases.
Wu Xing Epileptic Nings 1 and 2 are used to treat: Yang epilepsy
Symptoms: Before the onset of the disease, there are mostly aura symptoms such as dizziness, headache and distension, chest tightness and weakness, stretching and yawning, or there are no obvious symptoms, and then the patient falls down, unconscious, flushed, purple, and then turns blue or pale, with blue lips, closed teeth, eyes upward, straight neck and back, twitching of the limbs, saliva at the mouth, or phlegm in the throat, or strange screams, and even the second stool is lost. When waking up, except for fatigue and headache, the patient is like a normal person, with red tongue, white or yellowish greasy coating, and smooth or string pulse.
Treatment: Urgently open the orifice to awaken the mind, followed by diarrhea of heat, purge phlegm and quench the wind.
Wu Xing Epileptic Nings 3 and 4 Formula: Yin Epilepsy
Symptoms: If epilepsy occurs, the face is dark, blue, gray and yellow, the hands and feet are cold, the eyes are half open and half closed, dazed, supine, restrained, or convulsing, spitting saliva at the mouth, usually the mouth does not cry, or the voice is tiny. There are also only dull and ignorant, do not hear or see, do not move or speak, or the movement is interrupted, the object in the hand falls to the ground; or the head suddenly tilts down, and then quickly raises, or the two eyes hang up for a few seconds or even a few minutes to recover, after the onset of the disease is completely ignorant of the above symptoms, more often than a day for a dozen or dozens of times. After waking up, the body is tired, or like a normal person, the tongue is light, the moss is white and greasy, and the pulse is mostly sunken or sluggish.
Treatment: Urgently open the orifice to awaken the mind, followed by warming the phlegm and saliva.
Wu Xing Epileptic Nings 5 and 6 are used to treat
(1) Phlegm and fire disturbing the mind
Symptoms: impatience and irritability, irritability and insomnia, unpleasant coughing of phlegm, bitter mouth and dry throat, constipation and yellow urine. After the onset of the disease, the symptoms are aggravated, or even sleeplessness all night, red eyes, red tongue, yellowish greasy moss, sunken and slippery pulse.
Treatment: Clearing liver fire, resolving phlegm and tranquilizing the mind.
(2) Wind-phlegm blockage
Symptoms: dizziness, chest tightness, weakness, phlegm, unhappy mood, red tongue, white greasy moss, smooth and strong pulse.
Treatment: Cleansing phlegm and quenching wind and analgesia
(3) Heart and spleen deficiency
Symptoms: recurrent epilepsy, fatigue, pale face, thin body, dullness, thin stool, pale tongue, white greasy moss, sunken and weak pulse.
Treatment: Tonifying the heart and spleen is the mainstay
(4) Liver and kidney yin deficiency
Symptoms: frequent epilepsy, trance, dull complexion, dizziness, dry eyes, scorched ears, forgetfulness and insomnia, weakness of the waist and knees, dry stools, red tongue with thin yellow coating, sunken and thin pulse.
