Does a kidney cyst grow in or out of the kidney?

Kidney cysts can grow both inside and outside the kidney. Renal cysts can occur anywhere in the kidney and there are no specific sites of multiple occurrence identified.
Cysts may originate in the renal tubules and gradually form diverticulum-like structures that develop into separate, intact cysts. Renal cysts can occur in any part of the kidney and are usually unilateral and solitary, or multiple or bilateral at the same time, but they are relatively rare and the etiology is not yet clear.
Patients with renal cysts should avoid eating too salty or pickled food, which is not conducive to the recovery of the disease. Do not do strenuous exercise, so as not to cause cyst rupture due to abdominal trauma. Patients need to control blood sugar and blood pressure to avoid kidney function damage. Patients should also drink more water and do not hold urine to avoid kidney infectious diseases.
If the test result is kidney cyst, patients should actively cooperate with the doctor for further examination to clarify the nature of the cyst and then actively treat it.
