What is the right time frame to drink water for a 5 month old baby

Five-month-old babies don’t need extra water feeding, formula or breast milk has enough water, no extra supplement is needed. Babies need to be fed on demand up to the age of 3 months, after 3 months they can gradually transition to regular feeding, at 4 months they can quit night feeding, and around 6 months they can start to gradually add easily digestible complementary foods. Therefore, 5-month-old babies usually do not need extra water, and will get enough water from formula, breastmilk and complementary foods. After 6 months, small amount of water can be consumed, but not too much, so as not to affect the baby’s digestion and absorption. Parents are advised to strengthen the daily life, dietary structure as well as sleep care of their 5-month-old babies, add complementary foods reasonably, and make sure that it is safe to add complementary foods to their babies.
