The twitching under the eyes is probably in two areas: 1, physiological: such as fatigue, fatigue, many people stay up late can lead to eye fatigue, so twitching is one aspect, this situation is mainly good rest, regular rest can be alleviated; 2, organic: twitching under the eyelids is the facial nerve facial muscle spasm performance, facial muscle spasm has many causes, the most common is the arteriosclerosis and nerve compression after old age, which is the most common facial muscle spasm; so the MRI to see if there is vascular and nerve compression phenomenon. The most common cause of facial muscle spasm is arteriosclerosis and nerve compression in old age, which is the most common form of facial muscle spasm; therefore, an MRI should be done to see if there is any compression of blood vessels and nerves. For example, if a tumor grows in the brainstem and compresses the facial nerve, it can cause eye twitching; other causes of the brainstem, including multiple sclerosis, cerebral infarction or even other lesions, can cause lower eyelid twitching as long as they involve the facial nerve. Therefore, lower eyelid twitching is divided into physiological and pathological ones, and pathological ones should be treated accordingly by distinguishing various causes.
