There are various typing methods for breast cancer, and at present, pathological typing is mostly adopted in China, which is categorized into non-invasive carcinoma, invasive special carcinoma, invasive non-specialized carcinoma and other rare carcinomas, and the ones with the worst prognosis are the extremely special inflammatory breast cancer and triple-negative breast cancer. 1. Non-invasive carcinoma: including intraductal carcinoma, lobular carcinoma in situ and nipple eczema-like breast cancer (those with invasive carcinoma are not listed here). This type is in early stage and has better prognosis. 2. Invasive special carcinoma: including papillary carcinoma, medullary carcinoma (with massive lymphocyte infiltration), tubular carcinoma, adenoid cystic carcinoma, mucinous adenocarcinoma, and mucinous adenocarcinoma. Invasive non-specific carcinoma: including papillary carcinoma, medullary carcinoma (with large lymphocytic infiltration), tubular carcinoma, adenoid cystic carcinoma, mucinous adenocarcinoma, sweat gland-like carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and so on. 3. Invasive non-specific carcinoma: including invasive lobular carcinoma, invasive ductal carcinoma, sclerosing carcinoma, medullary carcinoma (without massive lymphocytic infiltration), simple carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, etc. This type is the most common type of breast cancer. However, other factors such as metastasis and molecular typing should be taken into consideration to determine the prognosis. 4. Other rare cancers: for example, inflammatory breast cancer, which has different clinical manifestations from ordinary breast cancer, rapid development and poor prognosis, and requires vigilance. In addition, when target therapy and endocrine therapy are carried out, molecular typing will be used to determine which drug is sensitive to, while triple-negative breast cancer is negative for all three receptors, which is more invasive and has a higher risk of recurrence.
