Early screening for lung cancer advocates the use of low-dose spiral CT. This method originated from the report of the U.S. National Lung Cancer Screening Trial initiated by the U.S. National Institute, i.e., in the article “Low-dose spiral CT for early lung cancer screening” published in the New England Journal in 2011. This method is widely respected worldwide and is recognized by our government and hospitals and physicians at all levels. Screening for early lung cancer using low-dose spiral CT can detect small nodules in the lung three times higher than x-rays and can reduce the mortality rate of early lung cancer to 20%.
