What’s going on with the uneven density of the pontine brain?

Uneven density in the pontine brain may be due to pontine infarction or hemorrhage, encephalitis, pontine space occupation and other lesions.
1. Pontine infarction or hemorrhage: Typical symptoms manifest as bilateral limb paralysis, which may present with facial nerve, crossed paralysis and ataxia. It is accompanied by systemic symptoms such as vertigo, headache and dizziness. Imaging may show that the density of the pontine brain is not uniform.
2. Encephalitis: It may manifest headache, fever, dizziness, headache, often with severe pain and tearing. Severe complications such as convulsions and residual seizures as well as mental retardation may occur in later stages. It may be manifested as uneven density of pontine brain on imaging.
3. Pontine space occupying: Audiomas or meningiomas are common in the pontine brain, which will gradually damage the auditory nerve and facial nerve, resulting in pontine cerebellar horn syndrome, such as hearing loss and facial paralysis.
The uneven density of the pontine brain may also be caused by other diseases, so it is recommended to consult a doctor in time, complete the examination and cooperate with the doctor for treatment.
