What is a perianal sebaceous adenoma?

Perianal sebaceous adenoma refers to benign tumors of perianal sebaceous gland tissues, which are manifested as localized papular and nodular changes and can cause a series of symptoms.
Perianal sebaceous glands are abundant, and sebaceous gland cell hyperplasia can cause sebaceous adenoma, which mainly consists of basal-like sebaceous gland cells and mature sebaceous gland cells. The corresponding lesions are affected by hereditary factors as well as stimuli from the surrounding environment, and they manifest as well-defined localized bumps, with localized keratinization and ulceration.
The diagnosis of perianal sebaceous adenoma should be confirmed by clinical examination and pathologic examination in anorectal or dermatologic departments.
Diagnosed perianal sebaceous adenoma but without any symptoms, can not be dealt with; such as local repeated friction and stimulation, the emergence of uncomfortable symptoms, can be surgically excised; there are perianal inflammatory reaction, can be regular anti-inflammatory treatment, such as follow the doctor’s instructions for external application of erythromycin ointment and so on.
