Is rubella contagious to others?

Rubella can be transmitted to others. Rubella is a contagious disease that is mainly caused by rubella virus infection and is spread by respiratory droplet transmission. However, the clinical symptoms of rubella are generally mild, and the rash usually appears after about 1 day of fever, with the rash first appearing on the head, face, trunk, and extremities. The rash is usually complete in about 1-2 days, and there are no obvious respiratory symptoms of khat. Most patients have a low fever as the main manifestation, and even without treatment, the clinical symptoms will improve significantly in about 3-5 days. A very small number of patients may develop related complications such as myocarditis, encephalitis, pneumonia, etc. Such patients need to be hospitalized, while the isolation period for rubella needs to be isolated until 5 days after rash emergence.
