Can you live 30 years after a heart stent?

The life expectancy of a patient after cardiac stent surgery is not affected if there is no other disease and no further stenosis occurs. Cardiac stenting is an interventional procedure to restore blood flow to normal by placing a stent in the narrowed lumen of the coronary artery caused by atherosclerosis and the corresponding symptoms. With the accelerated pace of modern life, the incidence of coronary heart disease is gradually increasing, and the trend of youth is becoming more and more obvious, and more and more patients are undergoing cardiac stent surgery. After heart stent surgery, if patients strengthen care and maintenance, exercise appropriately, quit smoking and drinking, live a regular life, have a low-salt and low-fat diet, follow medical prescriptions to ensure the smooth flow of stents, follow up regularly for medication adjustment, and strictly control blood pressure, blood sugar and blood lipids, their life expectancy can be the same as normal people. There are certain indications and contraindications for heart stent surgery, so patients should cooperate with doctors to do detailed examination to clarify whether stent surgery is possible.
