What’s wrong with sore stomach in pregnancy?

The possible reasons for the discomfort of a sore stomach during pregnancy are not exactly the same, depending on the specific week of pregnancy in which it occurs and the accompanying clinical symptoms. Some pregnant women experience abdominal soreness and swelling for reasons related to overexertion and mood swings. Especially in early or late pregnancy, pregnant women who engage in strenuous exercise, heavy physical labor, or prolonged standing or walking, sexual stimulation, and adverse emotional reactions may induce uterine contractions and cause symptoms of abdominal soreness and swelling. Most pregnant women can be relieved quickly without major consequences by resting in bed immediately after such symptoms appear. If the symptoms are not relieved after rest and the abdominal soreness is further aggravated, it may cause preterm miscarriage or preterm delivery, and appropriate fetal preservation treatment is needed.
