How to control sand dermatitis.

  Also known as friction mossy rash. It is a papular dermatitis that occurs on the forearm of the back of the hand. The cause is generally thought to be related to mechanical irritation. For example, playing with sand, dirt, water, stuffed animals, etc.  It occurs in children between the ages of two and nine. It usually appears as a round, flat, mound-like raised papule. Sometimes there may be some fine scales on the surface. It may be accompanied by itching. The duration of the disease is about four to eight weeks.  Treatment begins with. Contact avoidance is required. Reduce frictional irritation. Some hormonal ointments can be applied topically. If the lesions are severe, you can take oral anti-allergy drugs.
