Endovascular intervention for lung cancer

Lung cancer is currently the most common malignant tumor and surgery is still the only curative option, but most patients have already lost the chance of surgery by the time they are seen. In order to control the tumor, comprehensive treatment is needed, including systemic intravenous chemotherapy (chemotherapy), radiotherapy and targeted therapy. Endovascular interventional therapy is an important part of the comprehensive treatment, centering on local chemical perfusion of tumor vessels and tumor vascular embolization, and combining various modalities for anti-tumor treatment. Endovascular interventions for lung cancer mainly include transcatheter arterial chemical drug perfusion, transcatheter arterial embolization and transcatheter arterial chemoembolization. The general method is to insert a catheter after percutaneous arterial puncture under local anesthesia, find the tumor blood supply vessels and then perfuse chemotherapy drugs through the catheter, followed by embolization of the tumor vessels with embolic agents to block the tumor blood supply, or embolization of the tumor blood supply vessels by mixing chemotherapy drugs and liquid embolic agents. In this way, local lung cancer tumor tissues receive high concentration of chemotherapeutic drugs to increase the anti-tumor effect and reduce the side effects of systemic drugs. The main indications include: 1.Patients with intermediate and advanced lung cancer who have lost surgical treatment; 2.Patients with lung cancer who cannot tolerate surgery; 3.Patients who cannot tolerate systemic intravenous chemotherapy, especially elderly patients with lung cancer; 4.Patients with lung cancer combined with hemoptysis can be treated with perfusion + embolization to achieve the dual effect of anti-tumor and hemostasis; 5.For patients who can tolerate systemic intravenous chemotherapy, endovascular interventional chemotherapy can be routinely performed +For patients who can tolerate systemic intravenous chemotherapy, endovascular interventional therapy can be routinely performed to increase the local therapeutic effect and ensure systemic dose; 6. The main features of our hospital: 1. Standardized intravascular interventional perfusion chemotherapy in strict accordance with the drug requirements of antitumor chemotherapy; 2. Emphasis on the multivessel nature of arterial blood supply of lung cancer to achieve the integrity of treatment; 3. The earliest treatment in China, with rich experience in surgery and minimizing the incidence of various complications; 4. The main treatment targets are central lung cancer and peripheral lung cancer with rich arterial blood supply; 5.
