Swelling and pain in the lower eyelid is usually a sign of localized inflammation, the most common disease being granuloma. In the early stages of the disease, it is characterized by localized redness and swelling of the eyelid, accompanied by pain, and may be accompanied by congestion of the conjunctiva, which becomes more pronounced when pressed. With further aggravation of the disease, localized abscesses gradually appear, manifested by the appearance of hard knots or lumps under the eyelid skin. Therefore, for this disease, it is recommended that it must be detected and treated early, and sensitive antibiotic drugs, such as levofloxacin hydrochloride eye drops or ofloxacin ophthalmic ointment, can be used at an early stage to control the local inflammation. When the pain is reduced, appropriate localized hot compresses can be applied. Through this treatment, most of the disease can be cured at an early stage, and if abscesses are formed at a later stage, surgery can be considered if conservative treatment is ineffective.
