Will high transaminases affect sperm quality?

High aminotransferases do not usually affect sperm quality. High aminotransferases often indicate that a patient has impaired liver function, and depending on the degree of change in aminotransferases, may reflect the degree of liver function impairment. If a patient’s liver function is impaired, it can affect the body’s metabolism to some degree. However, in the case of a slightly high level, the patient does not necessarily show obvious clinical symptoms or pathological features. Through diet, exercise or mediation of mood, the patient’s transaminases can gradually return to normal levels. The above-mentioned conditions do not affect testicular function and do not affect sperm quality. However, if there is a major abnormality of transaminases, i.e. the liver function is severely impaired, the patient can develop more serious symptoms such as ascites, hypoproteinemia, hepatic encephalopathy or upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage. The above conditions are more damaging and may seriously affect the function of the testicles, heart and lungs.
