The taste of ginseng is not directly related to the moldy smell.
Prince ginseng is the tuberous root of Siberian ginseng, family Sphagnaceae, which has the effects of tonifying qi, strengthening the spleen, generating fluids and benefiting the lungs, and can be used clinically for treating symptoms such as loose stools and fatigue and tiredness caused by spleen deficiency, as well as dry cough with little sputum and low-grade fever caused by deficiency of lung yin.
After being concocted, the flavor that appears is generally that of the herb itself, with a slight gas and a slightly sweet taste. It is not related to the moldy taste. If the moldy taste appears, it may be due to incorrect storage conditions, and should be checked in time, whether the herbs have deteriorated or not.
