How to check for bone cancer to detect it

Bone cancer can be detected through X-ray examination, CT and MRI, isotope bone scanning, histopathological examination and other methods.
1. X-ray examination: it is one of the more important methods to diagnose bone cancer, which can clarify the nature, type and scope of the lesion of bone cancer. X-ray image of bone cancer often shows irregular shadow, blurred edge, thinning, fracture and missing bone.
2. CT and MRI: CT and MRI can provide the basis for the location and nature of the tumor, show the scope of the tumor and the degree of invasion, etc. CT and MRI can find the lesion tissues earlier and exclude the interference of overlapping imaging, help to judge the boundary of the tumor scope and the involvement of soft tissues.
CT can see the fine structure inside the bone, while MRI can show the scope of the tumor, the boundary of the tumor and the relationship between the tumor and the surrounding tissues.
3. Isotope bone scan: this examination is mainly used when X-ray examination does not show positive changes, which can show whether bone cancer has metastasis or not, and is often used as an auxiliary examination.
4. Pathological examination: it is mainly used for final diagnosis of bone cancer. It is to obtain tissue specimen through bone cell puncture or resection of lesion, and test whether there are cancer cells in bone cells or lesion tissues, which can provide important basis for the diagnosis of bone cancer.
If bone cancer is diagnosed, it is recommended to go to a professional hospital as soon as possible for further examination and treatment under the guidance of doctors after the cause of the disease is clarified.
