Colored apertures when looking at lights can be seen in two conditions: 1. Refractive error, such as myopia, astigmatism, farsightedness and other conditions. This condition can be effectively corrected by wearing glasses. 2. This symptom, also known as iridopsia, is due to the loss of vision caused by elevated eye pressure and corneal edema, so when looking at lights there will be colorful apertures. In addition to the above-mentioned symptoms, this condition is accompanied by swelling and pain in the eyes, ipsilateral dizziness, headache, nausea, and significant loss of vision, which is an ophthalmic emergency. Therefore, if the above symptoms occur, it is important to go to the hospital early for detailed examination and give symptomatic treatment to lower the eye pressure to avoid pressure on the optic nerve.
