The severity of multiple or single fibroids is related to the nature of fibroids. Single fibroids are prone to malignant changes, while multiple fibroids have a low rate of malignant changes, and the growth rate should be checked by tumor markers to monitor whether there is a possibility of malignant changes. It is recommended that patients with uterine fibroids should go to specialized hospitals for examination every 1 year or half a year to monitor the growth rate and decide the treatment plan. If fibroids <5cm in diameter are present and growing slowly, with no effect on menstruation, regular checkups are sufficient. If the fibroid grows exponentially and at a faster rate, malignancy or degeneration should be considered, and timely surgical treatment should be performed.
