Palm bulging is not necessarily a sign of cancer, but may also be related to trauma, tendon sheath cysts, allergies and other factors.
1. Trauma: Trauma after collision or fall can cause pain and swelling in the palm, and in serious cases, blood vessel rupture can cause hematoma and palm bulge.
2. Tendon sheath cysts: due to injuries to joints and tendons or defects in the tissue structure, resulting in cystic enlargement of the tendon sheaths near the joints and a bulging of the palm. Tendon sheath cysts are benign lesions and the exact cause is unknown.
3. Allergy: the palm of the hand is stimulated by allergens, resulting in vascular nerves are affected, thus appearing in the palm of the case of bulging. Sometimes it is accompanied by itching.
In case of severe or unrelieved palm puckering, it is recommended to consult a doctor for a radiological examination to clarify the cause of the puckering so as to avoid delaying the condition.
