What’s wrong with having your period come back after 3 or 4 days?

When your period goes away for three or four days and comes back, it may be the return of menstruation, or it may be a symptom of irregular vaginal bleeding caused by diseases such as endometritis and endometrial cancer.

1. Return of menstruation: If you have intercourse right after your menstruation has ended, it may cause stimulation to the body, leading to shedding of the uterine lining, return of menstruation, and the menstruation may be dribbling as a result. This situation is also prone to induce vaginitis, cervicitis and other gynecological diseases.

2. Endometritis: If you suffer from gynecological diseases such as cervicitis and vaginitis, the pathogens in the affected area may trigger endometritis if they are infected upstream. Patients may experience symptoms such as irregular vaginal bleeding, pain in the pelvic area and dysmenorrhea.

3. Endometrial cancer: heredity, long-term bad living habits or ovarian tumor are common causes of endometrial cancer. Patients may have symptoms such as vaginal discharge and abdominal mass.

If menstruation comes back after three or four days, it is recommended to consult a gynecologist after the vaginal bleeding has stopped, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
