Patellar dislocation resetting method

Patellar dislocation occurs in patients clinically and is mostly caused by the patient’s tendency to run and jump. The specific repositioning method requires the patient to undergo hyperextension traction of the lower extremity under anesthesia, while the physician pushes the outer edge of the patella medially with the palm of the hand between the pisiformis to reposition the patella. After the patella is repositioned, the knee joint should be fixed in an extension position, and an ointment should be applied to the knee joint to promote blood circulation, reduce swelling and pain, so that the damaged joint capsule, ligaments and muscle tissue can be restored and the stability of the knee joint can be increased to prevent the recurrence of patellar dislocation. Therefore, after the patellar dislocation occurs, the patient needs to seek medical attention in a timely manner and not to massage and rub on his own to avoid aggravating the condition or missing the best time for treatment.
