What are the indications for corneal transplantation?

The indications for corneal transplantation are, as the name suggests, cutting out the diseased cornea and replacing it with clear, clear, normal corneal tissue. The replacement is only necessary if the cornea is localized, or if any of its components are opaque and cloudy. The most common causes of corneal clouding are corneal leukoplakia, inflammation, trauma, corneal degeneration, conical corneas, tumors, etc. It is possible to perform a corneal lamellar transplant, or a total corneal transplant, also called a partial penetrating corneal transplant. Corneal lamellar transplants include upper limbal stem cell transplants, corneal stromal transplants, superficial lamellar transplants, deep lamellar transplants, and corneal endothelial transplants. Indications include active inflammation that cannot be controlled with medication, only in the active phase, cutting out the diseased tissue and transplanting clear, transparent and healthy tissue, called therapeutic transplantation, or purely for cosmetic purposes, with bad fundus, corneal leukoplakia, or even lamellar, or in some cases, total lamellar, and corresponding corneal transplants, cosmetic purpose corneal transplantation.
