Heating and the use of alcohol are both effective ways to kill the new coronavirus. The new coronavirus belongs to RNA virus, which is a deoxyribonucleic acid virus with a simple structure, i.e., deoxyribonucleic acid surrounded by proteins. RNA virus is not heat-resistant, and the virus can be killed in 30 minutes at a high temperature of 56°C. It also cannot survive under the effect of 75% alcohol.
