The recurrence rate of medulloblastoma after initial treatment is 20% to 30%. 1. The age of onset, tumor type and severity of the disease have a great relationship with the prognosis of the disease. Modern comprehensive treatment can make about 75% of children with medulloblastoma survive to adulthood. Although the prognosis has been improving, the recurrence rate of initial treatment is still expected to be 20% to 30%, and the majority of children with recurrence, which occurs within 3 years after the first diagnosis, have a low likelihood of long-term survival. 3. After completion of treatment for medulloblastoma, care should be taken to conduct timely reviews and follow-up visits to closely monitor the disease.
