What’s wrong with the hand pause?

Sometimes, middle-aged and elderly people may suddenly experience weakness in one side of the hand, unable to hold something in the hand and drop it on the ground, unable to grasp or pick up something, sometimes the whole arm is heavy and weak, and it is difficult to lift it; often accompanied by the weakness of the same side of the lower limb, but after a while it is all well again, recovering as usual; because it is completely back to normal, many elderly people do not pay much attention to it. Unbeknownst to them, this is a disease with a very high disability rate: “transient ischemic attack”, which is often referred to as “cerebral thrombosis precursor” and requires immediate medical attention and corresponding treatment to avoid serious cerebrovascular diseases such as hemiplegia. Transient ischemic attack is a transient neurological deficit caused by local brain tissue or retinal ischemia, and the clinical symptoms usually do not exceed one hour. The etiology is mostly of two types: (1) low blood pressure on the basis of cerebral artery stenosis caused by various reasons, resulting in insufficient perfusion of brain tissue and thus transient ischemia. When the embolus is dissolved or broken, the arterial blood is restored and the clinical symptoms disappear. If elderly people have transient or recurrent weakness of one limb, numbness, clumsy speech, unstable walking, vertigo, even if the symptoms are relieved soon, they should pay attention to it and seek medical attention immediately, do not take a chance because the symptoms are relieved.
