Precautions and instructions for bladder perfusion

Balloon catheters have been widely used in clinical practice and are commonly available in double-lumen single-bladed, triple-lumen single-bladed and triple-bladed models. Double-lumen single-bladed catheters are commonly used, and these catheters are standard in disposable catheterization kits. This catheter is Y-shaped, with two branches, one end is loose and thick to connect with the drainage bag to drain urine, and the other end is tight and sturdy for the opening of the catheter balloon, which is the channel for injecting water or gas into the balloon with a syringe. In the treatment room under aseptic operation preparation of bladder irrigation liquid, connected to the infusion set, push the use of materials to the patient’s bedside, first remove the infusion set exhaust ready; and then the drainage bag of the water stop clamps closed, with iodine povidone-iodine disinfection loose thick connection drainage bag on the side of the diameter of about 3 ~ 4cm twice, remove the infusion set of No. 7 needles directly into the urinary catheter, adhesive tape to fix it properly, open the infusion set of water stop clamps to make the flushing fluid slowly dripped into the bladder Open the water-stop clip of the infusion set so that the flushing fluid slowly drips into the bladder for 40~60 drops/min, and close the water-stop clip of the infusion set when the flushing fluid enters 250~300 ml. The fluid in the bladder is retained for about 30 min, and then the drain bag water stop clip is opened to release the urine. Generally repeated flushing 2 ~ 3 times, urine clear after removing the puncture needle operation is completed.
