Bitter ginseng is used alone to treat eczema and wet sores by decoction and external washing, and pepper is used to treat eczema and itchiness by decoction and external washing with bitter ginseng, dicotyledonous seed, and serpentine seed.
1. Bitter ginseng belongs to heart, liver, stomach, large intestine, bladder meridian, cold nature, bitter taste, has the effect of stopping itching and killing worms, drying dampness and clearing heat, diuretic, can be used for eczema and wet sores, scabies, leprosy, skin itching; blood in the stool, dampness-heat diarrhea (diarrhea caused by feeling dampness-heat), jaundice and so on. Bitter ginseng can be used alone in decoction water for external washing, or decoction water for external washing with snakebeds and cypress to treat eczema and wet sores.
Bitter ginseng should not be used with veratrum, and it is not recommended for those with cold spleen and stomach.
2. Pepper belongs to the spleen, stomach and kidney meridian, warm and pungent in nature, with the efficacy of stopping itching and killing worms, warming the middle and relieving pain (relieving pain by warming the spleen and stomach), it can be used for eczema, itchy nether regions, abdominal pain of worms accumulation, vomiting and diarrhea, and cold pain in the middle cold and epigastric region. Peppercorns, together with bitter ginseng, diclofenac, and snakeskin, can be decocted and washed externally to treat eczema and itching, or used alone.
This product should be taken with caution for people with Yin deficiency and internal heat, and the adverse effects are not yet clear.
