The clinical term for something growing on the liver is liver tumor. Tumors of the liver can be divided into many categories, but in general they can be divided into two main categories, one is benign tumors and the other is malignant tumors. Benign tumors such as liver cysts, hemangiomas and focal hyperplasia are more common, while malignant tumors refer to hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma. Through liver ultrasound, we can roughly determine whether there is something growing on the liver, and if there is something growing, we can further improve the enhanced CT or enhanced MRI, and if necessary, combine with tumor markers to help determine whether the growth is good or bad. If it is good, regular follow-up can be done, if it is bad, active surgery is needed.
