How to properly administer medicine for spleen and stomach diseases

  1. The physiology of the spleen and stomach is different, with different likes and dislikes, and there are differences in the use of drugs. The spleen is the main transport and transformation, should rise is healthy, and for soft organs, like to use just medicine. The clinical use of drugs like dryness and evil dampness, commonly used drugs such as: light slices, fried atractylodes, atractylodes, mucuna pruriens, sand, cardamom and so on. Commonly used prescriptions are: Si Jun Zi Tang, Ping Gastric San, Jian Spleen Pill, etc. The stomach is the internal organs with more qi and blood, and is the main recipient of decomposition. Clinical medicine such as: saxifrage, maitong, huangjing, dendrobium, shengdi, xuangshen, etc. Commonly used prescriptions such as yigang, saxifrage maitong soup, consistent decoction, etc. 2.Appropriate tonicity and combination of static and dynamic, the treatment of spleen and stomach diseases can be summarized by two words: tonicity and fluency. The characteristics of the drugs used can also be divided into “dynamic drugs” and “static drugs”. The so-called dynamic medicine, that is, pungent and scurrying products, active, the efficacy of the qi and blood, de-stagnation and dispersal of stagnation. However, it is easy to consume qi and harm yin and damage the vital energy, such as Chuanxiong, Citrus aurantium, Qingpi, Chenpi, Chaihu, Xiangxian, Sharen, Cardamom, etc. The medication has a tonic and nourishing effect, so it is easy to block the qi flow for a long time and hinder the spleen and make the stomach greasy. Such as ginseng, atractylodes, rehmannia, aconite, cinnamon, dogwood, roasted licorice, etc. The medicine that regulates qi and blood circulation and disperses evil in the liver is mostly dynamic, and its nature is Yang; while the medicine that nourishes qi and blood and nourishes the liver and kidney is mostly dynamic, and its nature is Yin. 3, in a prescription, a combination of dynamic and static drugs, the second cold and hot drugs in combination, and pay attention to the ratio of tonic and detoxifying drugs. The ancients used the formula, the tonic must be added to ease the drug, so that it can make up but not stagnant, nourishing but not greasy. For example, the combination of Chen Pi for Tonics, San Dihuang for Six Flavors, and Mu Xiang for Spleen, all reflect the characteristics of this group of prescriptions. 4, do not see deficiency in the clinical use of all tonic. Some are indeed deficient, but the deficiency is not tonic, pure tonic, but toothache, mouth and tongue sores, diet is greatly reduced, hypochondriac swelling and other symptoms, so that the condition is complicated, the desire for speed is not achieved. Therefore, the formula should be combined with dynamic and static medicine, and the tonic should be appropriate, so as to facilitate the clarity of the main target and ensure the positive effect of the medicine.
